From the very beginnings, Arboleda has had a strong commitment to the environment,
our workers, and sustainable development. Our passionate technical team works in
harmony with nature, integrating development to the surrounding communities,
protecting our workers and their families in order that the future generations can
continue enjoying our wines, vineyards, and nature.
Arboleda's sustainable development includes three areas: sustainable viticulture,
community commitment, and environmental preservation. The sustainable actions
undertaken in the Arboleda vineyards include:
· Implementation of "Precision Agriculture" continuously improving the systems of
monitoring, controlling, information, and technology applied to the vineyard in
order to obtain the best grapes with precise and minimal inputs.
· Environmentally friendly phitosanitary programs that privilege biological control of
pests and the use of products with low environmental impact.
· Efficient and rational use of water while maximizing wine quality.
Implementation of energy reduction plans.
· Fertilization programs based on nutritional balance and composted organic matter.
· Care of more than 1,500 hectares of virgin land in
the Valle de Aconcagua.
· Protection of the native fauna in the wild areas.
· Conservation policy for native flora that prohibits
the removal of native forests and the promotion of
reforestations with native Chilean trees.
· The development of biodiversity in the "habitat
breakers" and between rows.
· Use of natural sources of water at Las Vertientes.
· Arboleda signed the Chilean Industry Clean Production Accord.
· Implementation training and risk prevention plans for our workers.
· Development of sustainable awareness among our workers and the community.
